Marketing Associate
This position offers flexibility, including the option to work remotely; however, regular weekly in-person attendance (at least one day) at our store on Capitol Hill (Washington, DC) is required.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the modern gaming industry, and familiarity with collectible card games (CCGs), role-playing games (RPGs), and contemporary board games.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of social media and e-mail marketing strategies to increase brand awareness, in-store and online sales, and engagement.
- Create engaging content, including text, images, and videos, for our social media channels, newsletters, website, and blog.
- Create in-store TV slides and flyers to promote upcoming events using Canva.
- Monitor and analyze social media and e-mail metrics to track performance and identify trends.
- Engage with our followers and respond to comments and messages in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistent messaging across all marketing channels.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest social media trends and best practices.
- Create and edit our weekly and monthly newsletters.
- Create and distribute targeted emails to customer segments using Marsello.
Qualifications:
- Preference for a degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field, or experience working within this field.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.) and e-mail marketing strategies.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Experience with social media analytics tools.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
