The newest Magic: That Gathering set; an upcoming Open House; and the next RCQ!
It’s just another Magic Monday!
Outlaws of Thunder Junction was a heck of a hootenanny! But now we have a wagonload of events coming up for every cowpoke and cowhand to enjoy.
This Friday we have a release day draft, so be sure to hop on over to https://www.labyrinthdc.com/magic-events/ to register right away. And this Saturday is our Open House, a great chance to bring along a friend if’n it’s their first rodeo and they’re looking to learn to play. There are special promos available for you and your friend if it’s their first ever Magic event. No registration is required, so just show up and play.
But the OTJ events don’t end there. On May 5th, we’ve got our Regional Championship Qualifier. We’ll playing Outlaws of Thunder Junction limited, with invites to the Washington, DC Regional Championship on the line. Then May 11th, it’s the OTJ Store Championship. The Store Championship is a Standard tournament, with sweet promos for participating and finishing top eight or better.
And finally, on May 18th, there’s going to be a special draft to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Dungeons & Dragons. Players will open a collector booster of Commander Legends: Battle for Baldur’s Gat, before drafting three packs of CLB and building 60 card commander decks to battle it out for an additional CLB collector booster.
This week’s featured single is Balin’s Tomb from Universes Beyond: The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth. A reskinned version of Ancient Tomb, which is a staple of commander, Balin’s Tomb is card found exclusively as a box-topper for the Tales of Middle-earth, making these cards fairly rare. We were lucky enough to receive three near mint copies, which could be yours if you head to https://labyrinthgameshop.tcgplayerpro.com/ .
Welp, it’s time for us to be hittin’ the ol’ dusty trail. See you next Magic Monday!
