We had a ton of fun this past weekend draft Outlaws of Thunder Junction and at our Open House on Saturday. But now we get to see the return of Modern this Friday and Pauper next week. Beyond this Friday we have three exciting tournaments coming up. First on May 5th, which is just 13 days away, is our Regional Championship Qualifier for Regional Championship Washington, DC. The format is competitive Outlaws of Thunder Junction limited, and the top two finishers will receive invites to the Regional Championship in October.

 

Next on May 11th, we have the store championship, which will be a Standard tournament. OTJ seems to have given aggro decks a leg up, but there are still new brews out there waiting to make a splash. For participating you receive a Blazing Rootwalla promo, and the top eight finishers will receive a Hollow One promo, while the overall winner will receive a special Vengevine promo.

 

And finally, on May 18th, in honor of the 50th anniversary of D&D, we’ll be hosting a special Commander Legends: Battle for Baldur’s Gate commander draft. In a commander draft, you build a 60 card deck with a commander out of 3 packs, but with this draft you also get a collector booster to start your card pool. Spots for this event are almost gone, so sign up soon.
