Once again, we have so many exciting and fun events coming up! This Friday we have a Standard Showdown! This event features a special Cowboy Bebop Ossification promo card! Since we’re only running the one Standard Showdown this season, we have enough promo cards to hand out one to everyone who participates. But that’s not all for this weekend! On Sunday we’ll be hosting our Bloomburrow Store Championship, featuring more sweet promos. Every participant will get a Monastery Swiftspear promo, top 8 finishers get a Shark Typhoon promo, and the store champion will receive a textless full art Urza’s Saga. The format is in a pretty open spot and the field for the event so far is a little small, so if you have a Standard deck, be sure to sign up for your chance to be crowned store champion!

 

And then on September 1st we have our second Regional Championship Qualifier of the season. This one also features outstanding promo cards! Every player receives a Sleight of Hand featuring art by Helvetiva Blanc, while top 8 finishers receive the special “Ikoria Monster” Supreme Verdict Promo, and top two finishers will each receive a foil copy of that Supreme Verdict promo card. A new ban announcement is expected soon, so this will be one of your first chances to try out competitive modern in what could be a new metagame.

 

And finally, Duskmourn: House of Horrors season is slowly creeping and crawling towards us. This spooky set arrives just in time for Halloween Season, with prereleases starting September 20th, and registrations are already open. We’ve only seen a handful of spoilers for the set, but card previews start in less than two weeks. And what we have seen looks powerful, to say the least.
