Our store championship; Friday Night Magic; and a special Casual Pauper Commander event!

It’s just another Magic Monday!

GenCon has come and gone, and with it a host of announcements about Magic’s future. Did anything from this weekend stand out to you? Tell us in the comments!

This week we’re going to start off with the featured single(s). Today we feature the three promotional cards for this Sunday’s store championship. Every participant receives a Gifted Aetherborn, the top eight finishers will receive Eidolon of the Great Revel, and the store champion will receive a special foil Saruman of Many Colors as well as non-foil with the store name on it. Ahead of that championship on Sunday we’ll be hosting our last Lord of the Rings draft on Friday. That will be running alongside our biweekly Pauper tournament. The following Friday will be a special CHAOS draft on the 18th featuring packs of Dominaria Remastered, Lord of the Rings, and packs from across Standard. Chaos drafts are always a ton of fun and we hope to see you there.

And finally, we’ll be hosting a special Casual Pauper Commander event on August 26th at noon. Pauper Commander is a special variant of commander that features an uncommon creature as your commander and a deck of cards made up only of commons. It’s been a popular format at our weekly Casual Commander nights on Tuesdays, and we hope you’ll consider brewing up a deck and joining us August 26th.
