The Ravnica: Clue Edition launch; and our upcoming events in-store and at AwesomeCon!
It’s just another Magic Monday!
We’re coming up on some exciting events in the next couple of weeks, so let’s get into it.
First of all, this week we have our second Friday Night Standard showdown, as well as our Murders at Karlov Manor draft on Friday. On the 25th we have the special Ravnica: Clue Edition Launch party where you can battle to take home a beautiful Shockland Boxtopper. Then on Wednesday the 28th, we have a special midweek Standard Showdown as well. All these standard events lead into our Store Championship on March 3rd. At which point, it will be time for AwesomeCon on March 8th-10th, where we’ll be running a bunch of MTG events for attendees. This week’s featured single is Triskelion. For six generic mana, you get a 1/1, which isn’t great. But it enters the battlefield with three +1/+1 counters, which you can remove to deal one damage to any target. This card synergizes with a host of strategies, especially in commander, and sees a decent amount of play in the format. And although this card has been reprinted multiple times, this particular copy is from Antiquities, the first ever printing of the card. This makes this Triskelion very collectible.
