Ravnica Remastered and Murders at Karlov Manor sets! Plus, the return of Standard Showdown.

It’s just another Magic Monday!

There’s lots of excitement coming soon in the world of Magic: the Gathering, so let’s get right to it.

Ravnica Remastered formally arrives this Friday! Players got a chance to draft it early at our special preview event this past Friday, and the format looks like a lot of fun. If you missed out, you can join us this Friday for another Ravnica Remastered draft! And beyond that we’d like to hear from you! What format would you like Labyrinth to draft until Murders at Karlov Manor arrives? Ravnica Remastered? Lost Caverns of Ixalan? Let us know below!

And speaking of Murders at Karlov Manor, preorders and prerelease registrations are open for Magic’s next standard set! We’ll be running a draft on Friday the 2nd, Sealed League Saturday morning, traditional Sealed Saturday and Sunday, and Two-Headed Giant Sunday morning. You can sign up for your preferred prerelease, as well as our other Magic events, at https://www.labyrinthdc.com/magic-events/.

And there are plenty of Magic events coming. In addition to prerelease, our weekly Friday Night Magic tournaments, and Tuesday Casual Commander, we’ve got some new events for Murders at Karlov Manor. First is the launch party for Ravnica: Clue Edition on Sunday, February 25th. Clue Edition combines Jumpstart style-packs with commander-style multiplayer gameplay and the classic boardgame Clue! Each player will also have the chance to win some special Clue-styled Magic cards and possibly a Shockland box topper!

But that’s not all! Murders at Karlov Manor also means the return of Standard Showdown! For participating in each Standard Showdown, you can earn special Lunar New Year promos, namely a special Dragonlord’s Servant. And for winning Standard Showdown, you can take home a special Sarkhan Unbroken promo. Standard Showdown will be happening February 16th and 23rd, where it will be our FNM Constructed event, as well as Wednesday, February 28th at 6:00pm.

This week’s featured single is Liliana of the Veil, as printed in Modern Masterrs 2017. Currently one of the most potent planeswalkers in standard, Liliana of the Veil provides excellent punch for a three drop and has done so for years.
