March of the Machine set prerelease details; a new learn-to-play Magic event; and the featured single: Lake of the Dead!

It’s just another Magic Monday!

Spoilers for March of the Machine officially start this week, so keep your eyes peeled for all the exciting new cards. You’ll get your first chance to play with them at one of Labyrinth’s prereleases on April 14th through 16th. At this moment, all of our prereleases still have space, but not much. You can sign up for a prerelease, and all our events, at https://www.labyrinthdc.com/events/calendar/.

In addition to prereleases, in April we’ll be hosting a Learn to Play event on the 9th at 11:00am. It’s a great chance to learn the game, so be sure to tell anyone who might be interested. Newcomers will receive Welcome Boosters, and if you bring a friend who’s new to Magic, you’ll receive a special Promo Thought Vessel!

This week’s featured single is Lake of the Dead (shown in the header) from Alliances. Although legal in Legacy and Vintage, Lake of the Dead really only sees play in Commander. In mono-black decks, Lake of the Dead is capable of powering out high-cost threats very quickly. Printed only in Alliances, Lake of the Dead is on the reserved list, which means it will never be reprinted.
