Magic events at AwesomeCon; the Fallout set release; and more!
It’s just another Magic Monday!
Firstly, congratulations again to Yuki Komatsuzaki for winning the Murders at Karlov Manor Store Championship! Secondly, it’s AwesomeCon week and we have so many events at the convention! While we’re all having fun at the convention, we’ll be running an MKM draft this Friday and seeing the return of Pauper to the store. You can sign up for either event, or any other Magic event, including the RCQ later this month at https://www.labyrinthdc.com/magic-events/.
Our full lineup of AwesomeCon events can be found at https://www.labyrinthdc.com/events/awesomecon/, but let’s look at the Magic highlights. All weekend we’ll be running a Command Zone so you can jam some games, pick up a promo, and earn some prize tickets. Our fabulous prize wall is full of goodies for Magic players at the convention. Some highlights include uncut sheets of Magic cards, Ravnica: Clue Edition, packs of Mystery Boosters, full sets of Murders at Karlov Manor, and Secret Lairs. One particularly special Secret Lair available to win this year is the Secret Lair x The Princess Bride, which is highly coveted.
Friday (1pm-4pm), Saturday (11am-2pm), and Sunday (11am-2pm), we’ll be teaching Magic at our Learn to Play events. On Friday we have a MKM draft at 2pm, and then a Fallout Launch party at 7pm. For Fallout Launch Parties, players will show up and pick a Fallout Deck to battle it out with other players for the first time.
Saturday we have a Chaos draft happening at 2pm and then another Fallout Launch party at 7pm. This Chaos draft is pretty spicy. It features packs of Mystery Booster: Convention Edition, both Dominaria Remastered, and Ravnica Remastered, as well as Murders at Karlov Manor, and Lost Caverns of Ixalan. It should be a ton of fun.
And finally on Sunday, we have two interesting events. At 11am we’ll be running a Bulk and Build, where you’ll sift through our large collection of bulk and build a 40 card deck to take to the table for one versus one battles. And then at 3pm we’ll have Last Chance Commander: a slightly more competitive event where you can earn prize tickets for winning games of Commander. It’ll be the last chance to earn tickets for the Prize Wall, so don’t forget to stop by.
That’s all for this week! See you at AwesomeCon!
