It’s just another Magic Monday!

 

We’d like to give a huge thanks to everyone who came out to our Foundations Prerelease events! This “core”- like set features classic limited archetypes and nostalgic reprints, offering a large swath of cards that will remain legal in standard for 5 years. With streamlined card designs and mechanics, this set is a perfect place for beginners to start learning and a breath of fresh air for seasoned veterans.

 

For players looking for a faster paced way to enjoy Foundations, the companion Jump-Start set, while not Standard legal, has a ton of exciting new legendary creature cards and anime styled reprints of fan favorites. All you need to play is 2 packs and a friend!

 

Couldn’t make it to Prerelease? No worries! We will be having our release day draft of Foundations this Friday! Sign-ups are available at our website, so register online and secure your spot!

 

As always, Commander night is Tuesday! As a reminder, registration is required and opens tomorrow at noon.

 

This week’s featured single is Kozilek, Butcher of Truth. The first appearance of this famous Eldrazi Titan has been packing a hefty punch since 2010. With a huge draw 4 on cast and a devastating attack trigger, it’s no wonder that this massive monster is a staple of Commander decks, playing a crucial role as a top end in everything from Simic ramp to Eldrazi typal. While the card has been reprinted several times, nothing quite matches this original Rise of the Eldrazi printing.
