Magic Monday - November 25, 2024 - Labyrinth's Latest Magic: The Gathering News

Thanksgiving Week events, Black Friday specials, this week's Featured Single, last week's winners, and more!

It’s just another Magic Monday!

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! If you’re not out of town, we will be running our usual slate of events this week. Registration for commander will open tomorrow at noon, and this Friday we’ll be hosting both Foundations draft and Modern constructed tournaments. You can register for all our events at our calendar.

In December, our big event is the Store Championship for Duskmourn on December 15th. The format is Standard, which is newly revitalized with the release of Foundations. We’ll be running a tune-up Standard Showdown the Friday before, on the 13th. Both Standard events feature sweet promo cards, and you can register for the Store Championship right now.

If you’re around for Black Friday, there’s a special promotion starting that day. Starting Friday, if you spend more than $75 on sealed Magic product, you will receive a Magic: The Gathering Card Back Augmented Reality Pin, while supplies last.

This week’s featured single is Parallel Lives, as printed in Wilds of Eldraine: Enchanting Tales. Parallel Lives offers a powerful effect: doubling the number of any type of token you create. This copy is not only foil but features the borderless “Anime” art of Bodax. You can pick up this highly collectible card at our TCG Player site. And as a reminder, we do buy Magic singles, including Foundations. So, if you want to turn a sweet pull into store credit or cash, please reach out to [email protected].

Congratulations to our top finishers at FNM last week: Joel Nerenberg in Pauper with Glee combo and Mini Racker, Elliott Jones, and Russell Potter finished atop the standings in their respective draft pods.

That’s all for this week! See you next Magic Monday!
