As ever, there are so many Magic events on the horizon. First, we have a modern tournament and Bloomburrow draft this Friday. The next big thing we have coming is our Open House on September 14th. This is a great event for players who want to learn the game or improve their knowledge of strategy and decision making. And for friends who come and help teach, we’ll have promos as a way of saying thank you for helping our Magic community.

 

 

Now that we’re firmly in September, it’s time to get ready for Duskmourn: House of Horror! We have Prereleases starting on Friday the 20th and running all through that weekend. Friday night we’ll host a draft, Saturday morning will be Sealed league, Saturday and Sunday afternoon are traditional Sealed, and Sunday morning is Two-Headed Giant. This week’s featured single is City of Traitors, from Exodus. City of Traitors is a standout card in Legacy, where it sees plays in a number of powerful decks. That alone does not explain it’s immense value, for City of Traitors is on the Reserved List, which means Wizards of the Coast has vowed to never print it in paper again. This makes the card very collectible.
