It's just another Merry Magic Monday!

 

Happy Holidays from Labyrinth Games and Puzzles! We hope you are having an exciting and warm holiday week, and if you are still looking for a last minute gift for you or another MTG player in your life, we have a wide variety of deck boxes, playmats, sleeves, and packs available! 

 

We will not be running Commander on this Tuesday night as it is Christmas Eve or next Tuesday - New Year's Eve. We will be closing early at 4:00 pm on both days. But our 2024 events aren't over yet. In addition to a Chaos Draft and our farewell to Pauper on the 27th, we’ll be hosting a Magic Academy: Learn to Play event on Sunday the 29th. Registration isn’t required for the Learn to Play, but the event does start promptly at 1:00pm. If you’d like to earn a spiffy pin by helping to teach Magic that day, or at other events including AwesomeCon, reach out to us at [email protected].

 

There are also going to be plenty of events in January! On Saturday, the 4th, we’re holding a Pauper Commander Tournament with a twist! The Pauper Commander Council has decreed that for the month of January, uncommon Planeswalkers can be your commander! This event is a chance to try out this fun variation on the fun variation of Commander.

 

On the 5th, we’ll be running a Magic Academy: Deckbuilding. This event is for people who are familiar with Magic the Gathering, or have completed the Learn to Play, and want to learn about building a deck of their own. Players will receive 6 packs of Foundations and, guided by our experienced Magic community and staff, will build a 40 card deck of their own. Then, battle it out for bragging rights.

 

The next big event at the store is the Regional Championship Qualifier on January 18th. The format will be Standard, and players will be competing for promos, invitations to a Regional Championship, and cash prizes. Registration is already open, so sign up now!
