Calaverita was created by Chiachio & Giannone, "an artist who has two heads and four hands,” say Leo Chiachio and Daniel Giannone of their partnership in life and art. “Our academic knowledge is in painting but since 2003, when we met . . . , we began to change the brushes, oils and acrylics for the needles, threads and scissors.” Together they are blurring the lines between artist and artisan, fine art and craftsmanship.
